Are All Betting Systems SCAMS?

If you’re not a beginner at online (or off-line) betting and have looked for a betting system which could allow you to make a steady monthly profit, I bet you have come across many betting systems being sold on the Internet. Be it an eBay listing, blog or a website, it seems that everyone is making a good living from online betting, except for you.

You can buy one system after another just to find out they’re all just same old crap. It’s not a surprise, at least not to me. In first place – you should always ask yourself – why the hell he (or she) is selling this stuff if it is really as good as promised in the sales letter? Why is he sharing this BIG idea if it is so easy? How does local better Jim, become an Internet Marketing Guru?

First of all, there are good Internet Marketers who make their living from selling ebooks, videos, software etc. These people have probably never discovered or created a single betting system! They just re-write other people’s stuff, wrap it in a colorful packaging, add a sales letter and BINGO – yet another promising product for you to buy.

There could be another scenario: A system is good and it works, but there is a long-term learning curve involved, or it’s just too complicated to implement it on a daily basis without spending 12 hours per day studying horse forms or watching price changes on the Betfair. This system works, but 99% of people will never make any money from it because it’s just too complicated.

The third scenario is as follows: A system that is profitable, but there are some earning limits associated with it. Hence, the seller makes extra cash or even full-time income by selling this system on the Internet. A great example of this is online betting loopholes, where bookmaker mistakes or special promotions can make you guaranteed profit.

If we’re talking about betting software, that’s a whole different story. Whether it’s a Betfair trading station, a bot, or staking plan software, these are just tools to help you make most out of your betting activities. When promoted, software shouldn’t promise a guaranteed profit, but rather emphasize on the software’s features.

How can you spot a betting system scam?

One thing to look for is how long it has been on the market and what other people think about it (check out independent reviews on betting forums). A very good indicator is if a seller is a real person, he uses his real name, and maybe photos or videos. You really can’t be 100% sure about his identity, but at least this gives you more info about person who you wish to deal with.

Another great indicator is proofed past results. If this is a backing/laying system, the seller should proof his results to a proofing service (like Which Tipster). Never trust results published on sales by the seller himself. He could write anything and even if the selections are correct, prices could be impossible to achieve in real life, which could automatically ruin potential profit.

Also, watch out for regular bi-weekly systems which come and go faster than a train from London to Paris (like System Black Box and similar style nonsense). They are the same people promoting new betting system every month, by sending unsolicited emails to large lists of people interested in online betting.

In conclusion, take your time when planning to buy a betting system. Send few detailed emails to the seller, full of questions that you want answered. Again, look on forums for reviews.

If there is a guarantee and the system does not deliver promised results, make sure to contact the seller to discuss how this happened and why the system isn’t working. If he has no real explanation or advice, ask for a refund. Bottom line – if the system isn’t working, why you should pay for it?

Thats the thing Andy and you make an excellent point, in my opinion most of the people who write these systems no sweet F. A. about Racing or gambling in general.
